High wind doesn't have to tear shingles off to cause a leak — it just has to break the seal. We find the lifted and creased shingles and fix them before the next storm.

The straight-line winds that come with Middle Tennessee thunderstorms regularly run 50 to 70 miles an hour, and that's plenty to do damage. People picture wind damage as shingles scattered across the yard, and sometimes it is — but far more often the damage is subtle: the wind lifts a shingle just enough to break the adhesive seal underneath, then sets it back down. It looks untouched. It is not.
Once that seal is broken, the shingle is loose. The next gust can flip it, and the next rainstorm can drive water up underneath it and into your decking. One unsealed shingle on an exposed edge is how a leak starts in a roof that otherwise has years of life left. We find those, reseal or replace them, and keep a small repair from becoming a big one.
Wind is predictable about where it does damage. It works the edges and high points, because that's where it can get underneath a shingle and pry:
Eaves and rake edges. The perimeter of your roof takes the brunt. This is where we find the most lifted and folded-back shingles after a windy storm.
The ridge and hips. Ridge cap shingles sit at the very top, fully exposed, and they crease and tear loose more than any other part of the roof.
Anywhere already a little loose. Wind finds the weak spot. An older roof with shingles that have lost some of their seal will give up far more shingles in the same storm than a newer one.
Self-sealing shingles bond to each other with a strip of adhesive that the sun's heat activates. That bond is what makes a roof a roof instead of a stack of loose tiles. When wind lifts a shingle and breaks that bond, the shingle can lay right back down looking perfect while no longer being sealed at all.
To find it, we lift and flex shingles by hand along the vulnerable areas. A creased shingle has a visible fold line — a permanent weak point that will keep flexing and eventually crack. An unsealed one lifts too easily. Both get documented, and both are fixable before they let water in.
For a handful of lifted or creased shingles, the fix is straightforward: reseal what can be saved and replace what can't, matching your existing shingles as closely as possible. For more widespread damage — or a roof that's already aging — we'll lay out honestly whether spot repairs make sense or whether you're throwing good money after a roof that's near the end. Either way you'll see the photos and make the call with full information.

“After the spring hail we couldn't tell if our roof was damaged. 615 Roofing had an inspector out the next morning, walked the whole roof, and showed us photos of the bruising we never would've seen. Honest, professional, zero pressure.”
“We've been through the storms out here and were tired of out-of-state crews knocking on the door. These folks are local, licensed, and actually explained what they found instead of just trying to sell us a new roof.”
“Quick response, on time, and incredibly thorough. The photo report they left us was better documentation than we got from anyone else. Highly recommend to anyone in Williamson County.”
“Called on a Tuesday, had a documented inspection by Wednesday. They found wind-lifted shingles along the ridge and were straight with us about what needed fixing versus what could wait.”
“What stood out was how no-pressure it was. Our roof was mostly fine and they told us so — didn't try to upsell. That kind of honesty is rare. We'll call them again when we do need work.”
“Professional from start to finish. The inspector knew exactly how Nashville storms hit our older East Nashville bungalow and pointed out flashing issues two other companies missed.”
